Salary:25,959

Location: Swanscombe (DA10 0AB) whilst we undergo a build project at our Hospice (DA11 7HQ) 

Hours: 30 - 37.5 hours per week, flexible & hybrid working available.

Some evenings, and weekends as necessary for events with time off in lieu.

Role:

Building great relationships with groups, schools and our local community, our Community Fundraising Officer will offer guidance and encouragement to members of the public, staff and volunteers who choose to support us.

Senior Shop Manager

Salary: £25,959 to £29,217 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Sunday

Location: Crayford, DA1 4ES

(you will be required to work and travel to other retail shops)

 

Are you a retail Manager looking for a development opportunity within a multi-site environment?

As a Senior Shop Manager, you will have a background in retail and have experience in a multi-site environment. You will lead the shop managers across the different retail shops to drive sales to achieve strategic objectives and targets.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  1. Collaborate with the Head of Retail to plan, set, and manage the annual retail operating budget, taking corrective actions as needed.
  2. Ensure your teams are delivering as per the strategic plan and in line with company policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the commercial performance of each shop with your remit and E-commerce division, reporting to the Head of Retail regularly.
  4. Oversee retail property management matters, ensuring compliance and maintenance of property databases.

Essential requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing, supporting and resourcing a geographically dispersed team through setting and monitoring objectives and targets.
  • Proven experience in managing and setting budgets.
  • A good understanding of retail management and the challenges of working within the voluntary sector.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good organisation and planning skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload.

We are seeking an experienced HR administrator to join our small HR team, supporting our team and the wider organisation in a variety of administrative tasks. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with people, this role might be a good fit for you!

Facilities Assistant

Facilities Assistant

Salary: £10,736.67

Hours: 18 hours per week - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

Are you a Facilities Assistant looking for a development opportunity within a multi-site environment?

As a Facilities Assistant, you will be an essential member of the hospice staff, ensuring that all systems and maintenance tasks are performed quickly to minimise disruption to service.

ellenor Hospice provides compassionate care for adults and children in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley, and Bexley. Our services include in-patient care, expanding living well services, Hospice at Home, counselling, and children’s oncology support. We're dedicated to fostering a warm, inclusive environment where everyone feels supported and valued

The role will include assisting the Facilities Supervisor to ensure a safe environment for patients, the public, staff, volunteers, and external contractors.

You will undertake work as required to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of buildings, and plant equipment for the Organisation's sites, as well as the upkeep and refurbishment of multiple sites as required.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Testing and visual inspection of all of the Organisation's equipment within the agreed timeframes ensuring to complete all corresponding documentation.
  • Undertake regular monitoring of systems e.g. central heating and domestic hot water. Ensuring records are maintained in line with the agreed practice.
  • Perform appropriate repairs per the maintenance jobs list, ensuring tasks are completed within the agreed timeframes.
  • Refurbishment and refits of the sites under a planned redecoration programme. Including but not limited to, painting, floor laying and other general maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor firefighting equipment; Execute fire alarm tests, recording these as per the agreed requirements.
  • Undertake onsite maintenance of portable oxygen facilities, ensuring constant supply and change of cylinders in line with the safe systems of work.

Essential requirements:

  • Good organisation and planning skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a changing workload.
  • A Full clean UK driving license.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, fire regulations, and good health and safety practices.
