We provide hospice care to people of all ages in their place of choice. Our care includes,
pain and symptom relief, palliative care, end of life care, respite, bereavement support and emotional and spiritual care.

Without the commitment and professionalism of our staff, we wouldn’t be able to provide the full range of much needed services.

Senior Staff Nurse H@H

Senior Staff Nurse Hospice at Home 

Salary £32,933 - £39,324 (pro rata)

Hours: 30 hours a week

Full & Part-time available 

 

Do you have experience working in palliative care or in a community setting?

Here at ellenor, we are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Senior Staff Nurse to join our team in the Adult Hospice, you will be visiting patients and their families in their homes across Dartford, Gravesend and Swanley Area.

You will have the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge required at special nurse level, to ensure the delivery of high-quality palliative care.

In this position, it is necessary to have a full driving licence and access to a car as you will be required to travel to between locations.

Posts will be subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.

Individual Giving Officer

Individual Giving Officer

Salary: C. £24,003

37.5 hours per week

(required to work evenings and weekends as necessary, with time off in lieu)

We are looking for a new member of our fabulous Individual Giving Team!

Can you inspire our local community to raise funds for our hospice? Perhaps you have a background in sales, customer service or project management and are looking for something more meaningful?

Whether a supporter gives in memory of a loved one or donates to a cash appeal, you will help them team make them feel cherished and valued. You’ll also play a key role in ensuring our lottery players and regular givers are engaged and supported. Working closely with the Individual Giving Manager, you’ll be driven to continually test and learn from our activities and campaigns - ensuring our supporters continually feel inspired and engaged.

This is an exciting time to join ellenor as the past year has brought incredible support from individuals in our community, and we need your enthusiasm and expertise to deliver our varied programme.

ellenor is a charity that provides hospice care to all ages and to help us provide this specialist hospice care and support, we need amazing people. We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our charity.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a business professional from all sectors to join ellenor at Board level. 

As a Trustee you are responsible for the governance and strategy of ellenor, it’s financial health and the probity of its activities in accordance with ellenor’s Articles of Association.

We have several Trustee positions that will be vacant in 2023 and whether you are an experienced Trustee or wanting to take your first step at Board level, we want to hear from you.

Van driver

Hours: 41.5 per week Monday to Friday (plus 2 Saturdays per month)

Salary: £22,462 per annum

Location: Gravesend

 

ellenor is looking for a Driver to carry out the collection and delivery of items intended for sales in our Charity shops. This will require collection and removal of items (including furniture) from private homes and business premises and the placing and securing of items in the Hospices registered vehicles.

Other duties will include assisting in the running of Fundraising Events by collecting and delivering equipment as instructed by members of staff. You need to be flexible to meet the needs of the organisation and to act as an ambassador for the organisation during your day to day duties.

You must be able to work effectively and reliably with a team of volunteers and staff, be able to manage your own workload and liaise and communicate effectively with the rest of the team.

You must have a clean driving licence, this post will be subject to a basic DBS clearance and you must be fully vaccinated from Covid19.

 We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of HR to join our HR team in Gravesend, Kent to lead and manage a comprehensive, effective and efficient generalist Human Resource service to the organisation.

ellenor is a specialist palliative care provider for adults and children in the North of West Kent, and for children in the London Borough of Bexley. The organisation has in-patient and day therapy facilities at Gravesend, a comprehensive Hospice at Home service for children and adults and a range of outpatient and community services, all supported and delivered through a multi-disciplinary team approach.

The Job:

We are looking for a senior CIPD qualified candidate with experience of managing and overseeing the advisory and administrative function, including payroll of an HR department.  The role will report to the Director of Operations, HR & Education and work closely with the executive team and senior functional heads to support the delivery of the HR strategy.  You should be self-motivated but also able to motivate others. You should be highly organised with excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to present data effectively.  

About you:

You must have a proven background as a generalist HR Manager, with extensive experience in managing complex employee relations cases.  In addition, you should have experience of leading HR projects and employee engagement initiatives.  You must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating warmth and empathy and attention to detail is a must. 

The position is for 37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required to work out of hours occasionally.
