Exciting Developments are Coming to Your Local Hospice

We are incredibly proud of the care, support, and services that we provide here at ellenor. After 30 years of delivering care and support services from the original Lions Hospice building, we are pleased to announce that ellenor will be expanding the building by developing the Wellbeing Wing and staff facilities.

In 1992, Lions Hospice first opened its doors to patients offering a 10-bed ward to support the work that was already being undertaken in the community. A new wing and further three bedrooms were added to Lions Hospice in 2008.

Larger Wellbeing Facilities

Our new Wellbeing Wing will be larger. The new space and facilities will allow more patients and their families to benefit from the services and therapies that we have to offer.

There will be a large Changing Places toilet facility, new counselling rooms, improved play room, and quiet spaces for patients and their families, as well as a large multipurpose area for a range of activities.

Car park - Temporary Closure

From 24 April 2023 there will be some changes to the car park here at ellenor.

To allow us to build for the future we need to temporarily close the car park for staff and visitors.

A special ground-breaking event was held on Friday 19 May 2023 to mark the start of construction work on the new Wellbeing Wing at ellenor hospice in Coldharbour Road, Gravesend.
