Retail Volunteer

Location: Various- Dartford Priory, Dartford Highstreet, Crayford, Bexley, Northfleet, Darent Valley Hospital, Gravesend, Blackfen, Welling, Swanscombe

Hours: from 4 hrs per week
Times: 09:00-13:00 or 13:00-17:00
Days: Weekdays or Weekends

Role

Over 200 people are already a part of our retail team and our dedicated volunteers play a crucial part in the running of our shops.

As a Retail volunteer, you will be the first point of contact for customers in our shops. It will be a varied role where no day is ever the same, you’ll be there to greet and guide, lend a listening ear and be on-hand to support our retail customers.

Volunteers get to make new friends, become part of our team, and learn new skills while raising money for our hospice.

You will be required to sort donations, label and price items and take part in creating displays in shop windows. 

We have a fun and friendly environment and welcome the opportunity to develop and train new volunteers. 

How to Apply

If you would like to volunteer you will need to be over the age of 16, please visit the shop you are interested in volunteering within and speak to a Shop Manager, or email our HR team with your interest and completed application form at hr@ellenor.org.

Volunteer Drivers support 

Location: ellenor Retail Locations - Delivery

Hours: from 4 hrs per week
Times:  8:00 –17:00
Days: Week days

Role

As a driver support volunteer, you will be part of our distribution team, dealing with all the general deliveries and collections from the general public.

Some key traits you will need as a Drivers support Volunteer:

• Are you, sociable, approachable, calm, cheerful, courteous, observant, and welcoming?
• Are you fit and able to lift boxes and furniture items?
