How your gift can help

- Β£15 could help fund out-of-hours telephone support – a reassuring voice for someone spending Christmas away from loved ones.
- Β£20 could give a child and their family the gift of dedicated support from our Childrenβs Nursing team, helping them feel safe and cared for this festive season.
- Β£30 could provide a clinic appointment with one of our nurses, ensuring a patient receives the care they need to enjoy Christmas with comfort and dignity.
- Β£45 could help fund a play therapy session for a child, helping them through moments of grief this Christmas.
- Β£100 could allow our Hospice @ Home nurses to visit patients in their own homes, helping them spend Christmas surrounded by family and love.
Frequently Asked Questions
Due to the vast number of trees to be collected we are unable to give an exact time when we will be in your area. Please have your trees out in time for the collection to start at 9am on Monday 5th January, we will then collect it at some point over the two days.
You can register your tree online ellenor: Christmas Tree Recycling and pay your donation by card or call the Supportercare number to pay over the phone. These are the easiest, quickest and most cost effective methods for us to accept donations.
Please do not leave cash donations on your tree. If you would prefer not to donate via our online forms, please consider sending your Christmas Tree Collection donation via post to ellenor, Coldharbour Road, Northfleet, Kent DA11 7HQ.
Please make sure that you make cheques payable to ellenor and include your name and address on this donation and specify that it is for the βChristmas Tree Collectionβ.
The aim of the collection is to raise money for ellenor so we hope everyone will donate. There is no minimum donation but please give generously to support ellenor, our patients and their families β we do not make any profit by simply recycling your tree.
If you see our vans and they seem to pass by without collecting your tree, they may be on another round. If you have any concerns, you can call us on our Supporter Care Helpline throughout on 01322 626509.
Very rarely, due to things like poor weather conditions (and certain global pandemics!), we have had to cancel the collection, but donβt worry we will collect your tree. We will let you know in advance if the collection will be postponed and when we will collect your tree.
Your tree is taken to a specially set-up depot where it is reduced down in size either by chipping or mulching. This process uses highly specialised pieces of industrial equipment. The chippings are then taken to a location where they are composted for use as a soil improver throughout our community.
We are always keen to find new sponsors who can provide monetary or practical help to the collection. If you would like to help in this way please email fundraising@ellenor.orgΒ and talk to our Fundraising team.
If you have any further questions about the collection, please call our Supporter Care Helpline, 01322 626509 or email fundraising@ellenor.org
