Volunteers play an important role within our organisation.
We really value the time, skills and commitment our volunteers give. Their support helps ellenor continue providing care and support to patients and families as a local hospice charity.
Why volunteer with ellenor?
Volunteering with ellenor is a rewarding way to make a difference to patients and families in your local community.
You can share your skills and experience, meet new people and learn something new along the way. There are lots of ways to get involved, whether you’d like to support patients and families or help behind the scenes.
We have a range of opportunities available, giving you the flexibility to make a real difference in a way that suits your skills and availability.

You can choose to volunteer with ellenor whenever it suits you. Whether it is minutes or months, hours or days, the time you give really does matter.
We have several volunteering roles available across the whole organisation so whatever your skills and experience, we will find a role suitable for you:
- Fundraising / events
- Shop assistant within our Charity shops
- Befriending
- Driving (minibus or own car)
- Bereavement support
- Helping at youth group activities and outings
- Desk Host and Cafe volunteer
- Housekeeping and Catering
- Facilities
- Administration
