ART TRAIL 2026
A Family Event!
Get Ready for a Bear-illiant Art Adventure!
From 17 July 2026, Dartford and Bluewater will come alive with a spectacular free art trail inspired by the beloved children’s classic We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.
Discover 30 beautifully designed Large Bear sculptures, brought to life by talented local and national artists, as they transform streets, parks, and public spaces into an unforgettable outdoor gallery.
Keep an eye out for the adorable Bear Cubs too, each uniquely decorated by local schools and community groups. Hidden inside museums, libraries, shops, and other indoor venues, they’ll add even more fun for families, friends, and visitors of all ages.
Adventure is waiting. How many bears will you find?
If you’d like, I can also make it feel even more magical and cinematic, with a stronger “summer adventure” feel that encourages people to visit the trail.
The Story Behind The Trail
The story’s famous mantra—”We can’t go over it, we can’t go under it… we’ve got to go through it!”—perfectly reflects ellenor’s mission. Just as the family in the book faces obstacles together, ellenor supports families through life’s challenges.
