Support our Cuddle Bed Campaign
This December, help us provide the space and dignity for patients and their loved ones to lie together.
We’re taking part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge from 2 – 9 December, and this year we’re raising vital funds for two new Cuddle Beds on our ward.
Closeness matters, never more so than at end of life. Our current ward beds are too small for loved ones to lie side by side, but Cuddle Beds allow our patients to be comforted and experience a final moment with those they hold dear.
These specialist beds give families the chance to lie together, hold hands, talk, and even sleep side by side without discomfort. Any support you can give will provide patients with dignity, intimacy, and a gentle space for a final moment of closeness together with the ones who matter most.
Because dying is the last intimate thing we ever do.
Last year, over 1,900 patients were supported by our Hospice at Home and care teams. When symptoms worsen, many need to come onto our ward. By funding two new Cuddle Beds, we can mirror the closeness of home into our hospice – allowing patients to die in their loved one’s arms if they choose. These beds will enhance our holistic care approach, easing emotional and spiritual pain and helping to ensure a peaceful, dignified end of life.

**Donations will be doubled up to £3,200. Any donations received in surplus of £3,200 will not be matched. If we don’t meet our target, we would still use the funds to contribute to new Cuddle Beds for our ward. Any additional funds received over our target will go towards ellenor’s general funding
