ellenor Event Terms and Conditions

By registering for this event, I agree that:

Participation

1. I confirm that I am medically fit and that I participate in this event at my own risk. ellenor will not be held responsible for any injury or illness resulting from my participation.
2. I understand that in order to take part in some events that training is essential, and will ensure that I undertake necessary training ahead of participating in the event.
3. I will inform the ellenor Events Team immediately if I am unable to take part in theevent [and, where permitted, work with ellenor to take all necessary steps to transfer my place for that year to another person who wishes to take part in support of ellenor].

For Third Party Events;

4. I understand that should I be unable to participate in the event due to any reason, I will not be able to defer my charity place to the following year and that the space is non-transferrable.
5. I understand that this event is organised by the event organiser who is solely responsible for the conduct and operation of the event, including all health and safety
   requirements. Please see the event organiser’s terms and conditions, or contact the event organiser directly for more information about the event and the potential risks involved.
6. ellenor is not responsible for the event and accepts no liability whatsoever in relation to your participation in it.

Donations, Sponsorship and Payment Terms

7. I pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship for the event excluding Gift Aid and registration fee. The minimum sponsorship amount is clearly stated on the event page of ellenor’s website.
8. Pay a non-refundable and non-transferable registration fee
9. I understand that I must raise 80% of the sponsorship 4 weeks before the event (unless otherwise specified by ellenor), and failure to do so may result in my place being deferred or withdrawn. Should my place be cancelled I understand that I will not be eligible for a refund of the registration fee and all sponsorship received will be treated as a donation.
10. I will endeavour to raise as much as possible for ellenor and will regularly pay all money collected to the charity by:

• Using a fundraising website such as justgiving.com or virginmoneygiving.com
• Paying online with my debit or credit card
• Calling the Supporter Care Team on 01322 626 509 to pay over the phone with my credit or debit card details

11. I will send all outstanding sponsorship money to ellenor by 4 weeks after the event.

Fundraising activities

12. I will comply with any fundraising guidance or advice issues by ellenor
13. I will use ellenor’s fundraising materials to fundraise for this event and will return any unused materials on completion of the event.
14. I will only use lawful means to fundraise and will not do anything that is likely to harm ellenor’s reputation.
15. For any independent fundraising events that I carry out to raise funds (for example a cake sale or pub quiz), I acknowledge that I am carrying such events out in my own capacity. That I am responsible for all costs incurred as well as organising all aspects of such event and will make it clear that such event is run by myself “in aid of” ellenor and is not run by ellenor. I also agree to make it clear that such event is not “on behalf of ellenor” and that ellenor will not accept any responsibility or liability for such event.
16. I agree to contact ellenor to request use of ellenor’s “in aid of” logo in advance of any promotion.
17. I will make donors aware of what happens to their donations if I fail to complete the event.
18. I agree that I will make it clear that the money is not given subject to any conditions and that the monies will not be returned if the event is cancelled or I do not complete the event.
19. If ellenor is paying any of the event costs, I will make this clear to sponsors.

Personal data and images

20. By entering into this agreement, I agree that any personal information provided or collected about me in connection with the Event may be held and used by ellenor in relation to the Event and its promotion.
21. I give permission for the free use of my first name, picture, image, feedback and comments in any future publicity, advertising, fundraising materials and/or promotion conducted by ellenor
22. I give permission for my personal information I provide to be stored and used by ellenor in connection with the organisation and administration of the Event and passed on to any Event organisers as required.
23. I agree to inform ellenor of any changes to the information supplied in my original application as soon as such changes occur.
24. I give permission for any personal information I provide for additional Event participants, to be stored and used by ellenor in connection with the organisation and administration of the Event and passed on to any Event organisers as required.
