ellenor invites you to enjoy this unique venue and garden, generously opened by Meopham Windmill Trust to support ellenor. Your visit helps raise vital funds to provide vital care for our patients and their families.
Meopham Windmill was built circa 1820 and is one of only a small handful of six-sided hexagonal smock mills in the whole of the UK. The garden is well manicured and tendered by the Trust and offers a relaxing area to enjoy the views of the windmill and village green.
🚗 Parking: There will be limited parking on site, please park around Meopham Green
🚾 Toilets: Available on request
🍰 Refreshments: Tea, coffee and juice, Homemade cake
🎟️ Raffle and plant sales
🎤 Rock Choir at 3pm
👣 Tours: Included tours are 15-20 minutes and are highly recommended.
🐕🦺 Dogs: Pets are not allowed inside the mill but well behaved pets on short leads are welcome in the grounds
👟 Advice: Please wear sturdy footwear such as trainers and avoid clothing that might trip you as you go up and down the mill.
🧑🦽➡️ Wheelchairs: Visitors who use wheelchairs or have limited mobility can access the garden and the ground level Base room where there is a showcase presentation and several mill related artefacts on display.
👶Children can go up into the windmill if they are able to manage steep steps on their own. Small children may only go up when an adult is happy to carry them safely.
💷 Cost: £5 adults. Under 16s are free
No booking required – simply come along and pay on the day.
