ellenor invites you to enjoy this beautiful private garden, generously opened by Deb and Lee to support ellenor. Your visit helps raise vital funds to provide vital care for our patients and their families.
The Forge is a stunning historic property dating back to 1608. It is one of only two surviving Kentish weather board buildings which before the 1940’s were very common in Chalk. Charles Dickens drew some of the features of the forge in his novel, ‘Great Expectations’. The garden is a beautiful display of mature planting, lovely feature objects and a pond. It’s pretty setting is a rare treat, and we are so grateful to Deb and Lee for opening their garden for ellenor. They have 3 spaniels who also look forward to welcoming you.
🚗 Parking: Parking available on the main road and church car park across the road

🍰 Refreshments: Tea, coffee and juice, Homemade cake

🐕🦺 Dogs: Guide dogs only (owners’ dogs will be present)

💷 Cost: £5 adults. Under 16s are free
No booking required – simply come along and pay on the day.
