The Role
As a Volunteer Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting our team by:
- Delivering meals to patients in the hospice, brightening their day with a smile
- Keeping the kitchen and café clean, organised, and ready to serve
- Helping with washing up and kitchen waste disposal
- Prepping ingredients such as peeling and chopping vegetables, monitoring freezer stock, and ensuring proper food rotation for freshness
About You:
- Knowledge of allergens and nutrition requirements is beneficial
- Warm and compassionate personality
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or willing to undertake
- Physically able to lift and stand for extended periods, and comfortable in a sensitive environment

Please note to volunteer in the hospice applicants must be over the age of 18, have the right to volunteer in the UK and require a Standard DBS. This is not a paid role.
